Baby Cakes is a bakery originally from New York that now has a small location in Downtown Los Angeles. I went there in January of this year and have some pictures below. Their website posts all the ingredients for each of their items (click here). They also have a cookbook that you can purchase. All items are vegan, so no eggs. To be honest, I'm not sure if I would make the trek down there again. It is a pain to find parking downtown and the food was decent but not the best I've had. The wait was also long, with a line out the door, but I don't know if that's because it had just opened when I went. We had a chocolate chip cookie, spelt red velvet cupcake, and donut (see last picture). I think the chocolate chip cookie at Swinger's is way better. But it was nice to know that spelt can taste good in a cupcake, and I'm inspired to try and make my own. It has a higher protein content than wheat, and that's always helpful. What we had - a chocolate chip cookie, spelt red velvet cupcake, and donut.
