Blanca

Yesterady I went to Blanca in Newport Beach for dinner. The only entree on the menu that is lacto-vegetarian is the Wild Mushroom Paella without the aioli (aioli generally contains eggs as mayo). It tasted good, but I wouldn't say that you need to make a special trip out to the restaurant just to try it.

What was the occasion, Sarah? My boyfriend (he eats meat :-( ) and I went to Blanca for my birthday last year, and we liked it a lot.

I went there for a dinner where I met other bloggers for Foodbuzz (see their link on the side). It was really cool! It was my first time meeting other people who blog. Up until yesterday I was the only blogger I knew. Most of my friends and family have no idea what blogging is, so it was so great to talk to people who do know. What did you eat when you went there?

Hi Sarah! It was great to meet you... Too bad that the entrees aren't too alternative-diet-friendly.
On a different note, you really should give Veggie Grill a try! I heard that they opened one in Redondo Beach, and that might be closer to you =)

Hi Sarah. So glad you could make it last night. Unfortunate about the lack of meals that meet what you eat. The wine was vegan though, right? :)

I had the Vitello Tonato (I eat fish) and nibbled on stuff off my guy's plate ;-) Glad you finally met some fellow Bloggers. Welcome to the world of blogging, Sarah!
